Welcome to Moberly River Outfitters, owned and operated by Tom Benzinger and Paul & Cheri Heimerl. We are located in northeastern British Columbia near the cities of Fort St. John, Dawson Creek and Chetwynd in the Peace Region (see map). Our 1400 square mile territory encompasses a vast range of terrain from low mountains and foothills to swamps and agricultural areas. Forest cover contains areas of spruce, pine, aspen, willow and alder brush. There are many lakes and streams. Three main rivers border and run through the area, providing some deeply cut river valleys. Some access is by forestry roads and cutlines, though there are vast areas only accessible by foot or on horseback. This wide range of ecological zones offers excellent habitat for a broad variety of trophy game animals.

Moberly River Outfitters is easily accessible by plane or vehicle. You can drive right to our main lodge in Moberly Lake via paved highways. You can also fly by commercial or private plane into Fort St. John located just 85 miles from Moberly Lake. Moberly River Outfitters will provide you with service to and from the Fort St. John airport if you are arriving by plane.

Come and hunt for moose, elk, whitetail deer, mule deer, black bear, wolf and small game. Hunting is done by four-wheel drive, boat, from tree-stands or ground blinds, on horseback and on foot. Our new 4000 square foot Lodge is available for you along with out-camps that have newly built heated cabins or wall-tents at them.

Your hunt includes home-cooked meals, lodging, licensed guides and skinning & quartering of your trophy. You may hunt with rifle, bow, crossbow or black powder, except in special bow-only seasons.
There are also year-round accommodations available with reservation for non-hunting activities such as fishing, snowmobiling, ATVing, skiing, horseback trips, photo safaris or just a relaxing get-away. The area abounds with well-maintained hiking trails, beautiful waterfalls and gorgeous mountain scenery.

Our outfitter has held the guide outfitter's license, managed and guided this territory for over ten years. We, as the owners and operators of Moberly River Outfitters, are hunters ourselves! With experience in big game hunting for whitetails, black bears, elk, moose, Russian brown bear and wild Russian boars, we strongly believe we know what YOU, as a hunter, are looking for in a quality hunting experience! We welcome you to join us in one of the most beautiful areas of British Columbia for a spectacular hunt!
